Intranet for the geriatric attention units of the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital, in Badalona (Barcelona). The system, with publishing data restricted to users/authors, allows the follow-up of all the ailments, signs, symptoms and therapies offered to a patient since the first visit. The medical information relating to geriatric problems is now shown in only one system, in order to facilitate medical assessment and treatment.
Any doctor can consult the patient’s emergency data in the system, modify them, increase the medical record and print in PDF format the condition at any particular moment. This report can incorporate detailed notes with treatment indications or recommendations for the carers of the elderly. The intranet allows a general administrator to obtain different patients’ listings in a format compatible with spreadsheets.
