After the success of the Seoul Design Festival, celebrated in the capital of South Korea in October of 2002, was born the Barcelona exposition. It, within the program of the Any of Disseny 2003, becames a point of contact between Korean and Barcelona designers. All the artists, between whom they honor Kim Eu-Rah, Vium, Kang Jung-Tae, Kim Chi-Ho, Hye Young-Yu and Kim Gun-Hee, Yoo Bi Ho, Núria Díaz, Josep Puig and Josep Novell, Martín Ruiz de Azúa, Emili Padrós, Actar and Base Design,emphasize by their enormous talent and the youth of their works.
More than 30,000 people they visited, throughout fifteen days, the Capella dels Àngels of the Museu dArt Contemporani de Barcelona (Macba), the space that reunited the work of the young values of the Korean design and the most outstanding Barcelonian designers. The Seoul Barcelona Design Festival, celebrated after the Seoul Design Festival in Korea, it counted on the support and sponsorship of Samsung, Roca, the publishing group Design House Inc., Nani Marquina, Casa Asia, ESD Elisava and the embassy of South Korea in Spain.
